Thank you so much for stopping by my website to learn more about dog training. The focus here is on teaching dogs through games. Do you have a dog that won’t come when called? There’s a game for that. Are you struggling with loose leash walking? There’s a game for that too! Whatever struggle you are having with your dog it can be addressed through games and concept training.

What is Concept Training?

Concept training is when you take struggle and then break it down into concepts to work on through games. Take a common struggle such as a dog pulling on the leash: The concepts we would work on with this struggle are focus, self control, and thinking in arousal. We would work on this by playing games that build those concepts. We will play games that bring the focus back to you and encourage the dog to think when they have a lot of distractions to process. It sounds complicated but it’s really not when you break it down into simple games. While I do not strictly use games in my training I like to mix them in to make it more fun for you and your dog.

When training I use Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) methods. This means that I strive to create an environment that is safe and use methods that are  most effective, efficient, and empowering for your dog.
